Paramount Skydance Will Eliminate Around 2,000 US Jobs – News
Skydance Paramount will start significant workforce reductions beginning on 27 October, cutting approximately 2,000 American roles under a cost-cutting plan worth $2bn led by top executive David Ellison.
These job cuts come after the merger of Skydance Media and Paramount Global, which closed in August worth $8.4bn.
Additional international job cuts are anticipated, with Paramount Skydance intending to disclose full details in its third quarter earnings report scheduled for November 10.
Prior news suggested the firm aimed to eliminate from 2,000 and 3,000 jobs before the start of November.
By December 2024, the organization retained nearly 18,600 permanent and temporary staff plus 3,500 contract workers.
The organization did not immediately respond regarding the report.
